These rules apply everywhere on SOFT-WHERE Games: games, scripts and in-game text, worlds and builds, usernames and display names, game titles and descriptions, store items and decals, groups, uploads, chat, and anything an AI assistant makes under your account. They are part of our Terms of Use. When something isn't covered here, ask yourself whether it's right for a site where many players are 13 to 17.
1. Content that isn't allowed
Sexual content
No nudity, sexual acts, sexual references or innuendo, sexualized characters or outfits, fetish content, or links to adult sites. Anything that sexualizes minors is never allowed. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.
Hate and discrimination
No slurs, hate symbols, or content that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits. That includes jokes, “ironic” use, and recreations of real-world extremist groups, imagery or events.
Harassment and bullying
Don't insult, threaten, stalk, or pile on other players, and don't make games, items or groups that target a real person. No sharing other people's private information (“doxxing”), and no encouraging others to do any of this.
Violence and gore
Action, combat sports, hunting and blaster-style games are fine. Don't make realistic gore, dismemberment or torture, and don't glorify real-world attacks, mass shootings or terrorism. Never threaten real violence against anyone, even as a joke.
Self-harm
Nothing that promotes, instructs or encourages suicide, self-harm or disordered eating. Telling anyone to hurt or kill themselves (“kys”) gets an immediate suspension. If you or a friend are struggling, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) any time.
Dangerous and illegal activity
No content that promotes illegal drugs, underage drinking or vaping, weapons trafficking, gambling with real money, or other illegal activity.
Personal information and off-platform contact
Don't share or ask for phone numbers, addresses, emails, real names, school names, photos of yourself or others, or social media, Discord, Snapchat and similar handles. No links that send players off the site, except to SOFT-WHERE's own sites. Never ask another player to meet in person or to talk privately somewhere else. Our filters block much of this automatically, but that doesn't make trying to get around them OK.
Scams, cheating and exploits
No phishing for passwords, fake giveaways, “free Gold” tricks, trade scams, or selling anything for real money. Don't cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots or macros. Found a bug? Report it to us.
Stolen content (intellectual property)
Only upload and use content you made or have permission to use. That means no copyrighted music, art, 3D models, characters, logos or brand names from games, movies, sports leagues or companies unless you have the rights. Claiming you got it “from the internet” doesn't make it OK. Rights holders can use our copyright process.
Impersonation and spam
Don't pretend to be another player, a celebrity, a company or SOFT-WHERE staff. Don't flood chat, spam reports or mass-create accounts.
Harmful code
Scripts must stay inside the game. No code designed to crash games, trick players, collect information, or get around the sandbox, filters or review. Use your account and any connected AI assistant carefully: you're responsible for what they publish.
2. Chat rules
- Be friendly. Trash talk about the game is fine. Personal attacks aren't.
- Swear words are masked automatically. Slurs and sexual or hateful messages are blocked.
- No contact info, links or social handles. They are masked or blocked.
- Don't spam. Messages are rate-limited.
- You can mute any player in a room, and report any message.
- Moderators can read chat logs when a report is made or a safety issue comes up.
3. Reporting
Use the Report button on any game, store item, player profile, group or chat message. Choose the reason that fits best, and add details if they help. Reports are confidential: the person you report isn't told who reported them. False or spammy reports are themselves against the rules.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) first. To report something urgent, such as a threat or an adult trying to contact a minor, you can also email travissmith@soft-where.com.
4. What happens when rules are broken
We look at what happened, how serious it was, and the account's history. Depending on that, we may:
- Remove or hide content. A game is unpublished, an item is pulled from the store, a message is hidden, or a name is reset.
- Warn the account.
- Suspend the account for a period (from a day to several weeks).
- Permanently ban the account and remove its Gold, Silver and items.
Serious violations, including sexual content involving minors, grooming, credible threats, hate campaigns, or ban evasion, can lead straight to a permanent ban and a report to the authorities. Repeat infringers: accounts with repeated valid copyright complaints are suspended and, in appropriate circumstances, permanently banned.
5. Appeals
If you think we made a mistake about your content or account, email travissmith@soft-where.com within 30 days. Include your username, what was affected, and why you think the decision was wrong. A different moderator, where possible, will review it, and we'll reply with the outcome. Copyright removals have their own counter-notice process.
